Born in the great city of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, UK, and grew up in the pleasant market town of Morpeth, Northumberland, UK.
Went to school in Morpeth, college in Ashington and University in Newcastle.

First role in career was at IBM UK Laboratories at Hursley Park, Winchester, UK. Worked on CICS mainframe, CICS distributed and GDDM products as a Developer, Tester and APAR bug Fixer.

Second role spent working for a small software company called QSP in Gateshead, Tyne & Wear, UK working as a developer on the cross-platform financial product OLAS.

Back to Hampshire, and working for a Global Insurance Company, Zurich Insurance, on their mainframe insurance document management and printing solution. Roles encompassed Developer, Tester, Mainframe SysProg, Project Management and Software Licensing.

Into London and a role working for KPMG on various Software Licensing and Software Asset Management engagements for some of the biggest names in the IT industry. Identified as the Subject Matter Expert and Global Lead on mainframe software licensing across the global firm.
